Secretary General – Yuki Ikeda

Dear Delegates, Advisors, and Esteemed Community Members,
My name is Yuki Ikeda, and and I am incredibly excited to welcome you to the eighteenth iteration of the Cheongshim International Model United Nations, taking place from January 28–30, 2026, in Gapyeong, South Korea.
Through CSIAMUN, we strive to provide a dynamic and enriching conference experience for all participants. Whether you are stepping into your first committee or returning as an experienced delegate, we are committed to ensuring that your journey is both intellectually rewarding and personally memorable.
Drawing from my six years of experience at CSIAMUN as both a delegate and chair, I can confidently say that this conference is more than just debate—it is a space where lifelong friendships are formed, new ideas are sparked, and personal growth is celebrated. This year, we are thrilled to introduce an expanded range of committees, including Crisis, Journalism, and the Security Council, each offering unique, creative, and interactive agendas. Our tiered committee system—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—ensures that every delegate, regardless of experience, finds a place to thrive.
As the Round Square representative for CSIAMUN, I am especially committed to supporting our international delegates and ensuring their time in South Korea is as enriching as it is unforgettable.
We can’t wait to welcome you this January. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at csiamun@csia.hs.kr.
On behalf of our dedicated team, welcome to CSIAMUN 2026! We look forward to meeting you soon.
Warm regards,
Yuki Ikeda
Secretary-General
CSIAMUN XVIII

Deputy Secretary General – Sihyun Lee

Welcome delegates!
My name is Sihyun Lee, and I have the great privilege of serving as your Deputy Secretary-General for CSIAMUN XVIII.
Four years ago, I walked into my very first CSIAMUN conference as a nervous delegate, unsure of whether I could raise my placard, let alone raise my voice. I remember being overwhelmed by how confident everyone seemed. But what stayed with me was something deeper. Within these rooms, filled with strangers from different backgrounds, we were all working toward something that mattered.
That’s why CSIAMUN holds such a special place in my heart and why I’m so excited to welcome you to its 18th iteration.
This conference isn’t just about policy papers and procedure. It’s about building understanding in a world that often feels too divided. It’s about listening as much as speaking, collaborating as much as debating. And above all, it’s about realizing that your ideas no matter how bold, idealistic, or unconventional deserve to be heard.
At CSIAMUN XVIII, we challenge you to engage bravely with the world’s most pressing issues, but we also invite you to grow.
Our secretariat has worked hard to create a space where you can do all of that and more. We’ve crafted agenda topics that are rigorous and relevant. We’ve built a team that believes in the power of youth-led diplomacy. And we are counting down the days until we get to see you bring it all to life.
I’m so excited to be part of the CSIAMUN XVIII. See you in January!
Deputy Secretary General – Yoon Na

Greetings, delegates!
I am Yoon Na, the Deputy Secretary-General for CSIAMUN XVIII, and it is my great honor to invite you to the 18th iteration of our esteemed conference.
Our global landscape is marked by uncertainty and upheaval. As longstanding alliances waver and the integrity of international institutions is called into question, the foundations of multilateralism and collective responsibility are beginning to fracture. At these crossroads, Model United Nations stands as a vital space for empathy, collaboration, and meaningful change.
CSIAMUN is proud to stand at the forefront of youth-driven diplomacy. Through relevant, well-crafted agenda topics, delegates from around the world are empowered to critically examine the complex issues of our time—from the Rare Earth Supply Chain to navigating economic protectionism in trade.
But what sets CSIAMUN apart is not only academic rigor, but a shared sense of purpose. No idea thrives in apathy—only care and compassion can foster genuine change. Every argument raised, every resolution drafted, and every clause debated reflects your collective commitment to rebuilding a world shaped by collaboration and compromise.
To echo the words of UN Secretary-General António Guterres, global challenges must be met with global responses. I sincerely believe that CSIAMUN will inspire you to think big, listen thoughtfully, and speak confidently. The sky is the limit!
At CSIAMUN, we are dedicated to creating the best environment for altruistic, proactive young leaders from around the globe. Every member of our organizing team is deeply committed to making CSIAMUN XVIII a transformative experience for all delegates.
We look forward to welcoming you in January.
