Dear Delegates, Advisors, and Parents,

CSIAMUN XVIII Secretariat

On Behalf of the secretariat, I am incredibly excited to welcome you to the eighteenth iteration of the Cheongshim International Model United Nations, taking place from January 28–30, 2026, in Gapyeong, South Korea.

For nearly two decades, CSIAMUN has served as a platform for youth to engage in meaningful dialogue, critical thinking, and cross-cultural exchange. As the world continues to grapple with conflict, inequality, and humanitarian crises, we believe our mission to empower the leaders of tomorrow is more vital than ever.

Through CSIAMUN, we strive to provide a dynamic and enriching conference experience for all participants. Whether you are stepping into your first committee or returning as an experienced delegate, we are committed to ensuring that your journey is both intellectually rewarding and personally memorable. We are also excited to offer exciting pre and post-conference tours around Seoul city for international delegates; a speech from our keynote speaker; and culture night during conference to provide delegates with a holistic experience of not only MUN, but Korea as well.

The Secretariat aspires to make CSIAMUN XVIII the best iteration of the conference to date. With eight diverse committees catering to multiple areas of interests and levels of experience, we aim to create an enriching environment where all delegates, regardless of their background in MUN, will engage in highly intellectual and stimulating debates.

The Secretariat aims to make CSIAMUN XVIII accessible to delegates from all backgrounds. We will be pioneering a financial aid program to ensure that students from all walks of life are able to experience CSIAMUN. We will also be coordinating easy access to committee and conference resources through our online topic guides that will walk beginner, intermediate, and even advanced delegates through various parts of Model UN.

We are incredibly honored to continue the history of Cheongshim International Model United Nations, and we look forward to welcoming you all in January.

Warm regards,
Yuki Ikeda
Secretary-General
CSIAMUN XVIII

Past Delegates

“CSIAMUN has always stood out to me because of how welcoming and engaging the conference feels. The delegates bring so much energy to debate, and it creates an atmosphere where you’re constantly learning from the people around you. I remember my first CSIAMUN, where everyone was supportive, engaging and eager to debate. Whether you were a first-timer or an experienced delegate, CSIAMUN was the chance for you to learn and improve and gain confidence. Especially, the balance between serious debate and the fun moments outside committee makes CSIAMUN something I look forward to every year!”

I came to CSIAMUN after a 12 hour flight from Australia a little nervous and filled with anticipation about the days ahead. Contrastingly to my previous misconceptions, the conference was an inspiring and enriching experience that challenged me to think outside the box, collaborate with diverse individuals, and engage in meaningful debate. I had the opportunity to extend my skills over the trip, from public speaking to reasoning and negotiation. Beyond the committee rooms, the experience brought me long lasting friends and memories I’ll cherish forever. For anyone considering a conference, I’d highly recommend CSIAMUN as an opportunity to expand your knowledge and step out of your comfort zone!
